Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Chenoa enrolled in Suzuki violin at age 3. She has since achieved B.M and M.M degrees in Violin Performance and is a highly sought-after educator, guest lecturer, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion facilitator for various music organizations and college campuses. Her online courses: Introduction to Black Classical Composers and Musicians and Black Classical Musicians: The Journey Onward highlight the contributions and achievements of classical music composers of African descent. Her article “Black Representation in Classical Music Matters” was featured in the Summer 2020 edition of the American Suzuki Journal.

She is a member of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra and mother of two beautiful children, Victoria, and Jonathan. Her podcast, “Black, White & In Color,” is on platforms such as Apple, iTunes, Spotify and Anchor.


Christine Goodner is a Suzuki Violin, Viola & Suzuki Early Childhood Education teacher in Hillsboro, OR. She has experienced all sides of the Suzuki triangle: as a student from the age of 3, parent to two daughters, and as a teacher. Christine is currently serving on the board of the Oregon Suzuki Association, is Co-Director of the Oregon Suzuki Institute, and is the author of the Suzuki-licensed book,
Beyond the Music Lesson: Habits of Successful Suzuki Families. Christine writes, speaks, and podcasts on a regular basis about teaching and learning music; you can follow her work at www.SuzukiTriangle.com.
