CELLO GRADUATION GUIDELINES
Guideline 1
Students graduating from Twinkle through Level 6 will make a video—without accompaniment—of the graduation piece for each of the levels from which they are graduating. The video will be uploaded to YouTube and the link will be submitted with the online student registration.
Note: Twinkle students must include the triplet variation in their video.
Guideline 2 (Upper Level)
Students graduating from Levels 7-10 make a video of a piece of choice with piano accompaniment (if the piece has accompaniment), to be considered for solo performance at the Graduation Recitals. The video will be uploaded to YouTube and the link will be submitted with the online student registration.
Guideline 3
For the graduation day group performance students are expected to thoroughly review and polish all graduation pieces that they know from Level 6 (The Swan) back through Twinkle.
You can view recording directions here.
TEACHER COMMENT FORMS
The core of Graduation is celebrating student progress and achievement. After all graduation videos are received, each teacher will receive a list of videos from area students not in their studio to provide comments for. These sheets will be returned to students at Graduation. You may choose to print the form and write handwritten comments if you prefer.
