VIOLA GRADUATION GUIDELINES
Students will make a video—without accompaniment—of the graduation piece for each of the levels from which they are graduating. The video will be uploaded to YouTube and the link will be submitted with the online student registration. All graduation pieces will be performed play-in style at the Graduation Recitals. Students are expected to polish their previous pieces thoroughly for this performance.
*NOTE ABOUT THE REVISED SUZUKI VOLUMES – For Level Three (Bach Bourrée), please use the Revised Edition notes and bowings.
You can view recording directions here.
TEACHER COMMENT FORMS
The core of Graduation is celebrating student progress and achievement. After all graduation videos are received, each teacher will receive a list of videos from area students not in their studio to provide comments for. These sheets will be returned to students at Graduation. You may choose to print the form and write handwritten comments if you prefer.
